Emmy-winning Casting Director
Go from being the 99%, who have no control over their careers, to being the 1%, who have thriving acting careers.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED?
FIND YOUR COMPETITIVE EDGE
Noted Career Coach and Author, BARBARA DEUTSCH will show you how to go from being a guest in your career to being a host in your career, and teach you the trick to networking. Using role-playing and Barbara's tools, you'll experience for yourself a successful meeting with any agent, casting director or director.
Working actor DAVID DEAN BOTTRELL ("Castle," "Criminal Minds," "Harry's Law," "Boston Legal") will teach actors seven fun and practical ways to make a strong impression in the room. Since 2009, David has taught his popular audition seminar numerous times for both the SAG Conservatory and for AFTRA'S Continuing Education Program.
AUDITIONS: ON YOUR FEET
Emmy-winning casting director DEBORAH BARYLSKI will walk actors step-by-step through the audition process (preparation, cold reading, adjustments, etc.) and how to improve your audition skills. 20 actors will be randomly chosen (from the headshots and resumes submitted at the 9:30 registration) to cold read during the session.
There will be a Wrap-up Q & A at the end of the day.
Begins promptly at 9:30 AM. Bring your headshot and resume!
There will be a one-hour LUNCH BREAK (lunch is not provided).
The Sportsman's Lodge offers a reasonably priced lunch menu at the Patio Cafe.
